OSHA
requires the use of toe boards on some elevated work areas, and our
easy-to-use system complies with their regulations. Each bracket slides
on the rail and fits easily over a toe board. It tightens to the rail
with a friction knob for added strength and is engineered to mount
on a toe board no matter what the positioning of the base is.
The
minimum toe board size is a 2" x 4" piece of lumber. Check OSHA std. 1910.23
and 1926.5XX for other regulations.
Each
3 foot, 3.5 foot, 4 foot, 5 foot, 7 ½ foot and 10 foot rail section is constructed of 1-5/8 inch steel
tubing. When rails are secured, the height of the top rail measures 42"
from the platform surface. Bright safety yellow Powder Coat finish is standard.
Each section also contains holes for the securing pin. And to further add
to the safety of your employees, every rail section is equipped with a tube
containing instructions on proper utilization of the SafetyRail 2000 system.
Our gate system has a uniquely strong single pull - double latching mechanism,
available in 5 foot and 10 foot lengths and has the same 1-5/8 inch steel
tube construction and Powder Coat finish as the rail sections. It comes
with a support wheel for easy gate maneuvering. The hinge post, when secured
with the locking coupler, always holds the hinges parallel to the latch
post.
Each
base unit has cast in reliefs, making them easy to stack and easy
to store. To protect your flooring, rubber pads come standard on the
underside, and a drain hole has been included in each rail receiver
post.
The
base was engineered to be the most versatile product in the marketplace.
Every 108 pound cast iron base unit has four rail receiver posts,
enabling you to have up to four quadrants at infinite angles from
a single base. The base measures 23.25" across (from outside of handle
to outside of handle). Each receiver post contains slots that incorporate
the custom engineered positive locking system, a functional design
which enables infinite positioning of the rails while being secured
with the locking pin. In the center is a lifting hook which is used
with the optional EZ Mover, and at the edges are working handles which
allow for easy lifting and positioning. And should you need to permanently
mount the base, four holes are available for anchor bolts.
Securing
Pins are for securing the rail to the base.
